Welcome to Careerpilot (“Careerpilot,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Careerpilot platform, including Careerpilot Verified, candidate dashboards, job application workflows, skill verification systems, identity verification tools, subscriptions, and associated services.

By accessing or using Careerpilot, creating an account, applying for jobs, completing assessments, participating in verification workflows, or activating subscription features, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You may use Careerpilot only if:

  • You are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction;
  • You are legally authorized to work in the United States for jobs you apply to;
  • You provide truthful and accurate information;
  • You use the platform solely for lawful employment-related purposes.

You may not use Careerpilot if you:

  • Impersonate another person;
  • Submit fraudulent or misleading information;
  • Attempt to manipulate assessments or verification systems;
  • Use bots, automation, or unauthorized AI systems to abuse the platform;
  • Have previously been suspended or banned from Careerpilot.

2. Nature of the Platform

Careerpilot is a hiring intelligence and candidate verification platform designed to:

  • Facilitate job applications;
  • Deliver job-specific skill verification workflows;
  • Support employer hiring workflows;
  • Verify candidate identity and authenticity;
  • Reduce application fraud;
  • Improve hiring transparency and trust.

Careerpilot is not:

  • An employer;
  • A staffing agency;
  • A recruiter;
  • A government agency;
  • A guarantor of employment.

Employers independently control hiring decisions, interview invitations, compensation, and employment offers.

3. Candidate Accounts

To access certain features, users may be required to create a Careerpilot account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate registration information;
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials;
  • Keep your account information updated;
  • Accept responsibility for activity under your account.

Careerpilot may suspend or terminate accounts associated with:

  • Fraudulent activity;
  • Suspicious behavior;
  • Multiple duplicate accounts;
  • Assessment abuse;
  • Identity manipulation;
  • Unauthorized access attempts.

4. Job Applications

By applying for jobs through Careerpilot, you authorize Careerpilot to:

  • Process and transmit your application information to employers.
  • Share application data with ATS systems and hiring partners;
  • Route applications through connected job networks.
  • Store and process application history and related hiring activities.

Careerpilot may enrich and standardize employer-provided job postings using structured occupational frameworks, industry classifications, and competency-mapping systems.

Careerpilot does not guarantee:

  • Interviews;
  • Employer responses;
  • Employment opportunities;
  • Hiring outcomes.

Employers independently evaluate all candidates and make all hiring decisions.

5. Skill Verification & Assessment Methodology

Careerpilot’s Skill Verification system is designed to evaluate job-related competencies, workplace readiness, and applied reasoning using structured occupational and industry-aligned assessment methodologies.

Skill verification assessments are dynamically generated using information associated with:

  • Employer-provided job postings;
  • Employer profile information;
  • Industry classifications;
  • Department and occupational categories;
  • Role-specific competency requirements;
  • Standardized occupational mapping frameworks.

Careerpilot may normalize and structure employer-provided job information using systems, including:

  • O*NET occupational mappings;
  • Standardized job title normalization.
  • Industry and department classification frameworks;
  • Skills and competency alignment models.

Assessments are designed utilizing methodologies associated with:

  • Situational Judgment Testing (SJT);
  • Applied competency evaluation;
  • Hard skill verification;
  • Soft skill evaluation;
  • Job-readiness and workplace reasoning models.

Assessment content may include:

  • Scenario-based questions;
  • Workplace decision simulations;
  • Technical competency questions;
  • Behavioral reasoning prompts;
  • Applied knowledge evaluations.

Careerpilot is committed to designing assessments intended to evaluate job-related competencies and reduce reliance on subjective or non-job-related hiring criteria.

Assessment scores and verification indicators:

  • Are informational and predictive only;
  • Are not professional certifications or licenses.
  • Do not guarantee employment or qualification.
  • Do not replace the employer’s hiring review or judgment.

Careerpilot does not make employment decisions on behalf of employers.

6. Assessment Integrity

By participating in assessments, you agree:

  • You will personally complete all assessments.
  • You will not use another person, proxy, unauthorized assistance, or AI-generated answer systems;
  • You will not reproduce, distribute, or disclose assessment content.

Careerpilot may monitor:

  • Browser activity;
  • Copy/paste behavior;
  • Session integrity;
  • Device fingerprints;
  • Interaction timing patterns;
  • Suspicious behavioral activity.

Careerpilot may invalidate assessment results or suspend accounts for suspected manipulation, cheating, or fraud.

7. Identity Verification & Biometric Consent

Careerpilot may offer or require identity verification services through third-party verification providers, including Quantiv and affiliated verification technologies.

Verification workflows may include:

  • Government-issued ID validation;
  • Driver’s license or passport verification;
  • Facial comparison technology;
  • Selfie verification;
  • Liveness detection;
  • Device and fraud analysis;
  • Duplicate account screening.

By participating in identity verification, you expressly consent to:

  • The collection and processing of biometric identifiers where legally permitted;
  • Verification of your identity using automated systems;
  • Sharing verification status with employers and hiring partners.

Careerpilot uses identity verification solely for:

  • Fraud prevention;
  • Candidate authentication;
  • Hiring verification workflows;
  • Platform security and trust.

Careerpilot does not sell biometric information.

8. Interview Ready Status, Job Boost & Candidate Advocacy

Careerpilot provides candidate enhancement and verification workflows designed to improve employer trust and candidate visibility.

A. Interview Ready Status

Candidates may achieve “Interview Ready” status after completing Careerpilot’s required verification workflow, including:

  • Applying to qualifying jobs through Careerpilot;
  • Completing identity verification;
  • Completing required skill verification assessments.

The Interview Ready status is intended to demonstrate a candidate’s authenticity, competency validation, and hiring readiness.

Interview Ready status does not guarantee:

  • Employment;
  • Interviews;
  • Employer engagement;
  • Hiring consideration.

B. Premium Trial Unlock Requirements

Careerpilot does not collect billing information from users enrolled exclusively in the Free Basic plan.

Premium Trial access is unlocked when a candidate applies to at least three (3) jobs through the Careerpilot platform.

Eligible users may receive a thirty (30) day Premium Trial that unlocks premium features and verification workflows.

Premium Trials do not automatically convert into paid subscriptions and do not require billing information during activation.

At the expiration of the Premium Trial period, premium features become unavailable unless the candidate voluntarily activates a paid Premium Subscription.

C. Job Boost Features

Careerpilot’s “Job Boost” functionality enables candidates to improve application visibility by enhancing verification workflows.

Job Boost features may include:

  • Identity verification;
  • Job-specific skill evaluations;
  • Verification indicators;
  • Enhanced employer visibility;
  • Candidate advocacy eligibility.

D. Employer Outreach & Advocacy

To qualify for Careerpilot Advocacy services, a candidate must:

  • Apply to a job through Careerpilot.
  • Complete identity verification;
  • Complete required skill verification assessments.

By participating in Careerpilot Advocacy, candidates authorize Careerpilot to:

  • Share assessment outcomes.
  • Share verification indicators and statuses.
  • Share verification certificates.
  • Communicate candidate readiness information to employers associated with jobs the candidate applied to.

Verification certificates and related records may be available within a candidate’s account settings or dashboard.

Careerpilot Advocacy is intended to improve employer confidence and candidate visibility; however, Careerpilot does not guarantee:

  • Interviews;
  • Employer responses;
  • Candidate selection;
  • Employment offers;
  • Hiring outcomes.

Employers independently determine candidate qualifications and hiring eligibility.

9. Subscription Services

A. Free Basic Access

Free Basic accounts may include:

  • Job applications;
  • Candidate dashboard access;
  • Basic application tracking;
  • Limited candidate tools.

Careerpilot does not collect billing or payment information from users enrolled exclusively in the Free Basic plan.

B. Premium Trial (30 Days)

Premium Trial access may be unlocked when a candidate applies to at least three (3) jobs through Careerpilot.

Premium Trial access may include:

  • Interview Ready workflows;
  • Job Boost functionality;
  • Expanded assessments;
  • Identity verification workflows;
  • Enhanced employer visibility;
  • Candidate advocacy eligibility.

Premium Trials expire automatically after thirty (30) days unless the user voluntarily activates a paid Premium Subscription.

C. Premium Subscription

After a Premium Trial expires, users may voluntarily activate a Premium Subscription to continue accessing premium features.

Careerpilot currently offers a 12-month Premium Subscription priced at $24 annually.

Premium subscriptions may include:

  • Continued Interview Ready access
  • Enhanced employer visibility;
  • Ongoing Job Boost functionality;
  • Identity verification workflows;
  • Expanded skill verification access;
  • Verification certificate management;
  • Candidate advocacy tools.

Subscription features may evolve over time.

10. Billing & Payments

Payments are processed through third-party providers, including Stripe.

By purchasing a subscription, you authorize applicable payment processing and recurring billing where disclosed.

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

Users can cancel subscriptions in their account settings or via billing portals.

11. Communications & Messaging

Careerpilot may send:

  • Transactional emails;
  • SMS verification codes;
  • OTP authentication messages;
  • Application notifications;
  • Subscription notices;
  • Employer outreach notifications;
  • Hiring-related communications.

Your use of Careerpilot is also governed by the Careerpilot Privacy Policy.

Message and data rates may apply.

Users may opt out of marketing communications, though security and transactional messages may still be required.

12. Fraud Prevention & Platform Integrity

Careerpilot actively monitors for:

  • Fraudulent applications;
  • Identity fraud;
  • Assessment manipulation;
  • Proxy testing;
  • AI-generated abuse;
  • Automated platform misuse.

Careerpilot reserves the right to:

  • Restrict or terminate access;
  • Remove suspicious accounts;
  • Invalidate assessments;
  • Block devices or IP addresses;
  • Report fraudulent activity where legally appropriate.

13. Intellectual Property

All platform content, workflows, software, assessments, scoring systems, and trademarks are owned by Careerpilot or its licensors.

Users may not:

  • Copy assessments;
  • Reverse engineer platform systems;
  • Use scraping tools or automation;
  • Commercially exploit platform materials;
  • Interfere with platform functionality.

14. Third-Party Services

Careerpilot may integrate with:

  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS);
  • Job boards and job networks;
  • Identity verification providers;
  • Payment processors;
  • Communication platforms.

Careerpilot is not responsible for third-party systems or services.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

Careerpilot IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

Careerpilot makes no guarantees regarding:

  • Employment outcomes;
  • Hiring decisions;
  • Platform availability;
  • Employer-provided information;
  • Continuous service access.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Careerpilot disclaims all implied warranties.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Careerpilot shall not be liable for:

  • Lost employment opportunities;
  • Hiring decisions made by employers.
  • Indirect or consequential damages;
  • Business interruption;
  • Third-party conduct.

Careerpilot’s maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Careerpilot during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

17. Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration under Delaware law, except where prohibited by law.

Users waive:

  • Jury trials;
  • Class actions;
  • Class-wide arbitration.

18. Accessibility

Careerpilot is committed to maintaining accessibility improvements aligned with recognized accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines.

19. Changes to Terms

Careerpilot may update these Terms periodically.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
